Together with Dino Radoncic, Céline Arnould and Lisa Witzig we founded the collective 13. A group that wants to bring different people together through a specific event and that plays with the element of surprise as well as the spontaneous trust. 12 different flyers attract 12 different target groups to the same place at the same time. Then it is revealed. None of the events will happen in the way it is expected if at all. But if curiosity and appetite for the unknown win there is something else to be experienced – the 13. event. A mixed group is afterwards on their way to the, with foil and stacks of paper decorated, container. Inside there is also a box filled with objects that go back to the initial events like snacks instead of the cooking class. After a short adress the participants are left alone, apart from a walkie talkie that gives them the option to get in contact with us at any time.

This event’s aim was to bring diverse people together, that normally wouldn’t necessarily mingle. But also to create a situation that is unusual and maybe uncomfortable or a little awkward to begin with, because expectations are challenged.
