as a designer hanni maierl explores the bridges from design to art and blurres the lines that divide the two. her object work is based around  the human body and the experiences it brings to live in one.
having studied trends & identity (2016 – 2019) at zhdk in zürich she comes from a background of  sociological design that looks at day to day phenomenons as well as societal changes and developments.
she works mainly with the medium object, photography, text and voice. 
important impulses are intersectional feminism and psychology as well as intuition and empathy.
growing up in a world of science coming from her father she moved towards the dramatic by working in different opera houses in the areas directing and costume for six years. both these influences are visible in her work and her approaches to topics.
